Your Finances

Your financial wellbeing is just as important as your physical wellbeing. That’s why we offer a variety of resources to help you save money and build financial security for the future.

Disability Benefits

At Plexus, we want to do all we can to help you protect your financial security. That’s why we provide disability benefits, administered by Unum, to replace a portion of your income if you find yourself unable to work due to injury or illness.

Short-Term Disability (STD): You are eligible for STD coverage the first of the month following 90 days of employment. Plexus pays 100% of the premium and automatically enrolls you once you’ve met the eligibility period. The plan provides 100% of regular pay for the first 8 weeks and 60% for weeks 9 through 26.*

  • STD benefits begin after you miss work due to illness or injury for 7 consecutive days.
  • For hospitalization or surgery, STD benefits begin on the first day.
  • After 26 weeks, you may be eligible for Long-Term Disability benefits (see below).
  • Refer to the STD Summary Plan Description for more details.

*The length of time you receive STD and/or LTD benefits is dependent upon medical certification by your healthcare provider and governed by the terms of the plan(s) as stated in their respective plan document(s).

Long-Term Disability (LTD): Similar to STD, you are eligible for LTD the first of the month following 90 days of employment. Plexus also pays 100% of the premium and automatically enrolls you once you’ve met the eligibility period.

  • LTD benefits are paid in the event of a long-term illness or injury that prevents you from working.
  • Benefits begin after you have been unable to work due to a qualifying disability for 180 days.
  • The plan provides a benefit of up to 60% of regular pay to a maximum of $12,000/month.*
  • Payments continue as long as you remain disabled as defined by the LTD plan.*
